Shambles 02:03
I question if I know You anymore It feels like all I know was handed down to me The elements of what I know The core of my identity And what if it’s all a sham? The foundations of my life in shambles at my feet I don’t know where I am And I don’t know how long the journey. Help me believe Help me to know You Not just who I want You to be Help me believe A God fashioned in my likeness can’t set me free Help me to believe Help me to believe

You Say 03:44
You say, “When you get lonely, call upon Me. I AM with you.” You say, “When you feel empty, call upon Me. I’ll fill your cup.” Well, I am lonely and I have called on Thee. Why don’t you come? And I am empty. I’ve given all of me. Come and fill me up. You say, “When you get lonely, call upon Me. I AM with you.” You say, “When you feel empty, call upon Me. I’ll fill your cup.” My faith is shaking and my heart is breaking. Why don’t you come? My bones are weakening. Can’t hear you speak to me. I’ve had enough. Oh, how I need your love. You say that You’re not enough. But I can’t feel You here around me. The darkness deepens and my heart weakens Won’t you come and wrap Your loving arms around me? You have come and wrapped Your love-pierced arms around me You have come

When everything is broken, You remain When nothing good is spoken only pain When all is change and nothing stays the same You stay You stay When lightning strikes the ground beneath my feet When famine strikes the bowl from which I eat When sorrow strikes from deep within me You never leave You never leave And I find You, my strength though I feel weak And I find You, my warmth in winters bleak And I drink, from You, a river eternities deep When the rancid sin within me stains my teeth As it pours out from my mouth resentments seep You come closer to my sickness and You speak "I redeem. I redeem." And I find You, my strength when I feel weak And I find You, my warmth in winters bleak And I drink, from You, a river eternities deep (repeat) You are there when I can't feel You there You are there in the darkness with me You are there when I can't see You there You are there in my uncertainty (repeat) And I find You, my strength though I feel weak And I find You, my warmth in winters bleak And I drink, from You, a river eternities deep (repeat)

You are my hope when I am dying inside You are the only friend in whom I can confide My love for You, oh Lord, just grows with passing time You are the air I'm breathing in You are the water of my soul I need You to survive Knew me before the world began Created me as who I am That's how I began With Your breath of life You are my strength when I feel weak and weary You are the sun when life gets dark and dreary The only One to show Your love for me so clearly You are the air I'm breathing in You are the water of my soul I need You to survive Knew me before the world began Created me as who I am That's how I began With Your breath of life You know the number of the stars in the sky You bottle up the tears that fall from my eyes That I might live, You gave your only son to die You are the air I'm breathing in You are the water of my soul I need You to survive Knew me before the world began Created me as who I am That's how I began With Your breath of life

Ain't no sadness gonna hold me down Gonna keep me from seeing my Jesus Ain't no sadness gonna turn me around Gonna cloud my view of my Jesus Glory, glory hallelujah Ain't gonna keep me from seeing my Jesus Glory, glory hallelujah Ain't gonna keep me from seeing my Jesus

about

The music of Through Flood and Fire was birthed out of many hard experiences: abandonment, doubt, and severe depression to name a few. These songs allowed me to lament and praise God through some of the toughest times I've gone through over the last twenty years. My prayer is that these songs would help you engage with God when you feel like pulling away. I hope that the words also comfort you and help you to feel less alone in any anguish that you may be going through. I know what it is like to struggle. Feel free to reach out if you need support or prayer.
